Our Tourism, Culture & Heritage team are looking for a knowledgeable & passionate individual to join our Herberton Mining Centre as a Permanent Part-Time Heritage Officer.

The position is responsible for the operation of designated Museum and/or Information Centre. This involves office and volunteer management and providing services to meet set objectives.

  • Base salary package from $1,701.00 per fortnight ($40.50 per hour)
  • Locality allowances (if eligible) 
  • Attractive work/life balance - 42 hours per fortnight on a set roster:
    • 9:00am - 1:00pm Monday, Tuesday Thursday Friday
    • 9:00am - 2:00pm Wednesday
  • Annual leave accrued pro-rata with 17.5% leave loading
  • Attractive superannuation - up to 12% employer contribution 
  • Access to pro-rata long service leave after 7 years' of service
